Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung Galaxy and Laptop test Tested the device today with my Samsung galaxy phone with an HDMI Display and it worked great and then used a latop to connect to the display and a USB powered monitor. The USB monitor did not work unit power was applied to the unit but once the external power source was applied it worked great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Resolution not as good as hoped We got this to add an additional monitor port. The resolution is far less that the monitor we are using and it needed to be connected in a od fashion so it ended up limiting the resolution on the monitor and the projector. I would not buy this again.

Questions & Answers

I have a 28845 & used it for the 1st time, Use a w-less KB/M dongle USB, Ethernet & HDMI. Laptop is a i7 Lenovo w/Win11 Pro. I took it by disconnecting the USB-C connection. When I returned & connected USB-C NW & KB/M ok, but NO HDMI mon detected. HELP

Asked by: MajrTom
Does your setup work if you are going directly from the laptop to the mini-dock and then from the hdmi to the monitor? Ensure that all video and display drivers are up to date, ensure that the set resolution on the laptop matches your monitor. Also ensure that no additional extension cable is between your laptop and dock. If you need additional help, feel free to contact our free support line. Everything is working as expected except for the ethernet. If I plug the ethernet cable into the docking station it does not get recognized by my Dell XPS. Are there any driver or firmware updates for this device?

Asked by: Phil
There are no driver or firmware updates. If everything else works and you have tested the ethernet port with multiple cables and on different computers and it doesn't work on any of them, I would recommend contacting our Tech Support Team by either calling 800.506.9607, using this link to do the live chat https://www.cablestogo.com/contact-and-support, or sending an email to av.c2g.techsupport@legrand.com

I bought a new laptop and the C2G 28845 dock. There is no hook-up guide. Does the 8" USB-C cable connect to the laptop? This dock is supposed to provide power to the laptop. Where does the charger connect to the dock?

Asked by: Dave
Apologize for the confusion. The Male USB-C will connect to the PC. The port marked PD/DATA will pass USB-C power up to 60w to the PC. If you have any further questions or need Technical Help please call or chat with us M-F 8:30am to 6pm EST

Can I add a 2nd external monitor to one of the USB A or USB C ports?

Asked by: Ken14
The ports on this dock will only act as Data ports and will not natively work with a Display. If you use a device that has driver support, such as a USB to Video device it will work in that manner.

I have my new C2G 28845 station plugged into my Toshiba Tecra laptop and am trying to figure out how to set it up so that the laptop display is not replicated onto my additional monitor. How do I change it from replicating to having a second display?

Asked by: mapokao
In your Windows Display settings, change it from mirror to extended. Our device will only be recognized as a second display, so there is no special setting or adjustments that have to be made.

Is this product compatible with Lenovo T490 laptop using 65W charger?

Asked by: bravo
This product only delivers up to 60W, so if the Lenovo needs 65W this would not supply enough power.
